I have lived from the west coast to the east coast. Born in San Fernando Valley, I lived in Los Angeles until we moved to Madison, Wisconsin when I was in 3rd grade. In 1974, my family moved to Maryland where I completed my high school and undergraduate training. I joined Youth With A Mission in 1985 and married my best friend, Mary, in 1988. We have two terrific boys, Justin and Nathan, and a beautiful little girl, Rebecca, whom we adopted in 1999 from China. I am a graduate of Frostburg State University. And I have continued my education through various YWAM/University of the Nations courses, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and I am now completing the MA in Global Leadership at Fuller Seminary. In 1989 I began directing international university student internships with the University of the Nations, which has mobilized students from 9 nations and 105 colleges and universities to integrate their fields of study with service projects in 37 nations. I founded the Student Mobilization Centre in 1995, which now has offices in Columbia, India, Korea, and the USA.

“Frostberg State University”…this could well be the nickname for UW-Wisconsin this week, no? Nice to see your blog, John…very nice graphic at the top, and excellent content.
